On Making In the House of Mystery

There is no question that music can be a very powerful and inspirational source. Obviously not all music has this affect on us but every once in awhile certain songs or a certain artist reaches up and grabs hold of us. For John Bergeron that artist is Leonard Cohen.

Instead of merely enjoying Leonard's songs or being inspired to write songs like him, John decided to dedicate his new release entitled, In The House Of Mystery to him. He could have simply performed these selected songs mechanically however, John unhesitating let his own personality and creativity come through in each and every song.

By openly letting the music flow through him, you will see the smoother, deeper musical style which is all his own. Selecting songs that ask questions for you to answer versus presenting an answer, John chose songs such as Famous Blue Raincoat to feature. A song which he can personally connect with. One of love lose in a triangle and the realization that in the breath of a moment the other person is gone. The same can be said of Master Song. A simple reminder that people that you meet have their own agenda in life and you can't change them.

For true music fans that are in search of genuine music artists that give you hope spiritually in all aspects of your daily life and relieve you from the tyranny of your daily thoughts and restrictions, John Bergeron takes Leonard Cohen's songs to a whole new level.
